...and I am a music educator, composer, and performer. My passion for music started with my participation in the Indiana University Pre-College guitar program at the age of 7. Since I was born my father has always played guitar and constantly dragged me along to gigs and performances of Funk, Blues, and Reggae music. After moving to Plano, TX, I began 6th grade trumpet class, igniting further my love for music. Throughout my middle school, high school, and college years, I participated in every ensemble I could possibly fit in my schedule from Symphony Orchestra to the Swing Dance Club Band I formed to play with my friends. My interest grew fast in classical and romantic era music during my schooling as well as jazz and avant garde genres. This interest was fueled by many inspiring music educators,  ensemble directors and private teachers.

During these years I also participated in basketball both as a school sport and as a part of a traveling AAU team that my father coached. I've always had a huge love for the game of basketball, and through my experiences traveling as well as getting to know many teammates from different backgrounds, I gained an increasing interest in different genres of music including Hip-Hop, RnB, and Electronic Music. As my musical interests expanded, I began to enjoy the intersection of genres, always trying to create these intersections in my compositions and arrangements. This is where I feel I am headed in my musical journey, towards the intersection of genres and cultures.
